How do you write a skeletal outline?

ok so in my english cl we are going to do a research paper and before we start that we have to do a skeletal outline then a full outline then finally the essay....my question is: WHAT IS A SKELETAL OUTLINE and how do u write one up??? my research topic is the commitment level of christian based marriages.....sooooooooo how do i do it???? help me please!?
