Applying for DEA academy. How competitive is it? Do i have a good shot?

Since you asked this in the military section, I'll recommend doing a four year stint in the Air Force as Security Forces to get your LE experience, not to mention you'll receive veteran's preference on the test as well as honorable military service looks amazing on a resume (and you WILL be competing with veterans in the hiring process). Everyone and their little sister does MMA these days, that's not really going to be taken into consideration. The basketball thing won't really matter either, the DEA will have their own physical agility test that is a p/fail system. Good luck.
