Gas mileage for a 2004 Ford Ranger?

Both the 4.0L V6 SOHC and the Vulcan 3.0L V6 are stated to get 17mpg town, and aroung 22hwy. So it will get better fuel economy than the 14-16mpg mentioned in your question.
