TURNOUT RUG best fit for a thoroughbred ?
I am looking for a medium weight turnout rug to fit a short necked skinny thoroughbred. Just spent a fortune on a weatherbeeta all singing and dancing tristar with separate liner, it is 6ft and fits fine body wise but the neck cover was built for a giraffe !!.I tried a Mark Todd, but again, it fitted fine in length, but the chest was mive and built for a big warmblood . There are so many rugs on the market and I am getting fed up driving 30 miles(60 round trip) to try rugs only to turnaround and take them back. Please, if you have a fine built TB and know which make/style fits best, let me know....10 points guaranteed by me for the most helpful/sympathetic reply, and my old horse will love you too :o)
