This is driving me CRAZY! Can someone please tell me which is conservatism and which is liberalism?

The first is the basic principal behind Conservatism, the second is an attempt to define Liberalism, but its not about the rich having to "fend for themselves". Its the principle that if the poor have money, they'll spend it by purchasing goods and services. The rich are usually the ones providing these services, so they'll make more money, and in turn expand and hire more poor.
