Hinduism and Judaism are quite old, as are the various tribal cults of Africa. Actually, you are incorrect in saying that eastern faiths are new. Buddhism has been around since 800 BCE, and Confuciunism from about 500 BCE. Very young religions include Mormonism, the cargo cults of the Pacific Islands, Pastafarianism, and scientology.
